No person may create disruptive noise, including racing vehicles, operating engines or construction equipment without proper mufflers, using loudspeakers in a disruptive way, or handling unsecured loads that create banging or clanking.
Restricted Hours: Quiet hours are enforced from 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
Additional restrictions include:
- Yelling, shouting, singing, or whistling
- Construction and trade work
- Household tool use (except snow removal)
- Loading/unloading, deliveries, or handling of materials, unless essential
- Operation of motorized vehicles outside intended roads

Enforcement & Penalties
Anyone who does not comply with this by-law commits an offence and may be subject to a fine under the Provincial Offences Act.
Exemptions, permits and licences
Persons wishing to obtain an exemption must submit an application to the Municipality. Before deciding on whether to grant the exemption, Council will give the applicant as well as any person opposed to the exemption an opportunity to be heard. Council may approve, refuse, or modify the request and any approval will last for a maximum of six months and may include specific conditions as needed.
