Alert System

1. Navigate to the Registration Page
   • Go to: Sign Up for Alertable
   • You will see a “Sign Up” form.
   • Click on “New subscriber”.
2. Select Contact Option
   • Choose a notification method:
     • Email: Enter your email address.
     • SMS: Enter your mobile number.
     • Phone Call: Enter your phone number.
   • Wait to receive a verification code via the selected method.
   • Enter the Access Code and click Verify.
   • (Optional) To add another contact method, repeat the steps above.
   • Click Next when finished selecting contact options.
3. Add Locations
   • Add one or more locations to receive relevant alerts:
     • Enter your street address for location-specific alerts.
     • Add “The Nation” for general municipal alerts, or your village for local updates.
   • Click Next when done.
4. Select Alert Types
   • You are automatically signed up for:
     • Emergency Alerts
     • By-law Notices
     • Municipal Elections
   • You can also enable or disable other alert types by toggling the switches.
5. Submit the Form
   • Click Finish to confirm and finalize your registration.

To modify your contact options:

• Go to: Sign Up for Alertable
• Click “Already Subscribed”.
• Select the contact method you originally used (e.g., email or phone).
• Enter the contact information and click Enter.
• Wait for your Access Code, then enter it and click Verify.
• Once you are logged in the first step will show your contact options

To add another contact option:

• Select your new contact option in the drop down menu under “Add another contact option”
  • Wait to receive a verification code via the selected method.
  • Enter the Access Code and click Verify.
  • Click Next when finished selecting contact options.

To remove a contact option:

• In the Registered Options section you will find your contact options you are signed up for
• Click on the “X” next to the option you want to unsubscribe from and confirm on the pop-up page by clicking “REMOVE“

Click “NEXT” when finished, you will then be able to make other modifications to your account or click “NEXT” until you get to the Alert Type Page and click “DONE” to save all changes.

To unsubscribe from Alertable:

• Go to: Sign Up for Alertable
• Click “Already Subscribed”.
• Select the contact method you originally used (e.g., email or phone).
• Enter the contact information and click Enter.
• Wait for your Access Code, then enter it and click Verify.
• Once you are logged in the first step will show your contact options.
• In the Registered Options section you will find your contact options you are signed up for.
• Click on “Unsubscribe All” and confirm on the pop-up page by clicking “UNSUBSCRIBE ALL“
• Click “NEXT” when finished, and click “NEXT” on all other pages until you get to the Alert Type Page and click “DONE” to save.

To modify your locations:

• Go to: Sign Up for Alertable
• Click “Already Subscribed”.
• Select the contact method you originally used (e.g., email or phone).
• Enter the contact information and click Enter.
• Wait for your Access Code, then enter it and click Verify.
• Once you are logged in the first step will show your contact options, you can skip this section by clicking NEXT
• You will now see the locations you are signed up for.

To Add a Location

• Write/select the address, village or region you wish to add in the text box
• Add as many locations as you prefer

To Remove a location

• You will find all subscribed location under the map
• Click on the “X” next to the location you want to remove and confirm on the pop-up page by clicking “REMOVE“

Click “NEXT” when finished, you will then be able to make changes on the Alert Type Page or click “DONE” to save all changes.

You are automatically signed up for the following mandatory alerts:

• Emergency Alerts
• By-law Notices
• Municipal Elections

To modify the optional alerts like: Water & Sewer, Transportation, Meetings, etc., follow these steps:

• Go to: Sign Up for Alertable
• Click “Already Subscribed”.
• Select the contact method you originally used (e.g., email or phone).
• Enter the contact information and click Enter.
• Wait for your Access Code, then enter it and click Verify.
• Once you are logged in the first step will show your contact options, you can skip this section by clicking NEXT
• You will then see the locations you are signed up for, you can skip this section by clicking NEXT
• You will now see the Alert Types
• Enable or disable an alert types by toggling the switches.
• Click “DONE” to save all changes.
