Online Billing
Go paperless! You can use the portal to view your account balance, see account details, and make payments online (see all payment methods below).
Access the Online Billing Portal
Please note that once you register, you will no longer receive your utility bills by mail.
Step 1: Register
- Open The Nation Municipality’s Online Billing Portal.
- Click "Register" under the “New to The Nation Municipality, ON eCommerce?” section.
- You will be redirected to the registration form. Complete the form using the following information:
- Email Address: Enter the email address you will use to sign in.
- Re-enter Email Address: Enter the email address again.
- First Name and Last Name: Enter your full name.
- (or) Business Name: Enter your business name instead if the account is being created for a business.
- Password: Create a secure password (12–64 characters, including at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, and one number).
- Re-enter Password: Enter the same password again.
- Click "Continue".
Step 2: Verify your Account
Once you have registered, you will receive a confirmation email from “The Nation Municipality ON eCommerce System” at the email address provided during registration. The email will include a verification link and a verification code.
- Click the link in the confirmation email. This will take you to a verification form. Complete the form using the following information:
- Email Address: Enter the email address used during registration.
- Password: Enter the password you created during registration.
- Verification Code: Enter the code provided in the confirmation email.
- Click “Verify Account.”
Step 3: Sign In
- Once your account has been verified, return to the Sign In page.
- Under the section “Used The Nation Municipality, ON eCommerce before?”, enter your email address and password.
- Click "Sign In".
To use the portal in French, select the French language option before logging in. Once signed in, the entire interface and your account information will appear in French.
Before You Begin
If you have never received a utility bill, please contact us before continuing.
Step 1: Sign In
- Go to The Nation Municipality’s Online Billing Platform.
- Enter your email address and password
- Click "Sign In".
Step 2: Add Your Utility Bill Account
- Once logged in, click “View & Pay Bills” in the top menu or from your dashboard.
- Click “Add an Account”.
- From the list of account types, select “Utility Bill / Service public”.
- Enter Your Account Information:
- Utility Billing Account Number (5-digit account number found on the left side of your previous utility bill).
- Personal Identification Number (5-digit PIN located on the left side of the bill, under The Nation Municipality’s return address.

The withdrawals will be made on the 10th day of each month. An adjustment will be made every three months: The two first installments of each invoice will be based on the first yearly invoice and the balance on the third installment.
Regular Plan
4 Annual Payments
Withdrawals will be made on the utility bill due dates: April, July, October, and January.
Utility payments can be made directly through the Online Billing Portal using a credit card. Please note that a 3% processing fee applies to all transactions.

Steps to follow:
- Add a vendor in your online banking.
- Search for "The Nation Municipality” and select "Water and Sewer".
- Enter your 5-digit utility account number.
- The payment will be sent to us by your financial institution

After-Hours Drop Box
Payments can be deposited in the after-hours deposit boxes at either municipal office. Cheques must have the 5-digit utility account number written on the front, and be placed in an envelope along with the payment stub.
