Preventive Boil Advisory Lifted

April 15, 2026, | 2:00 p.m. - The Nation Municipality has lifted the Preventive Water Boil Advisory that was in effect for residents served by the Limoges Water System.
 
Residents may now use tap water for all purposes. The Municipality thanks everyone for their patience and cooperation during this precautionary advisory.

Preventive Boil Advisory and Watermain Break Update

April 15, 2026, | 9:00 a.m. - The Preventive Water Boil Advisory remains in effect.
 
We are still waiting for the results of the water samples from the laboratory.
 
The Preventive Water Boil Advisory remains in effect until further notice. Another update will be provided once results are received.
 
Until the advisory is lifted, residents must continue to boil tap water for at least 1 minute before drinking, preparing food or beverages, making ice, and brushing teeth. Alternatively, use bottled water for these purposes.
 
April 14, 2026, | 9:00 a.m. - The Preventive Water Boil Advisory remains in effect.
 
The watermain break was successfully repaired last night, and water pressure has returned to normal. The distribution system has also been flushed to help remove any potential debris or sediment.
 
Operators are currently collecting samples and submitting them to a laboratory to ensure water quality meets provincial standards. Results are expected by late Wednesday or Thursday. If no contamination is detected, a further update will be issued and a return to normal operations will be announced.
 
Until the advisory is lifted, residents must continue to boil tap water for at least 1 minute before drinking, preparing food or beverages, making ice, and, brushing teeth. Alternatively, use bottled water for these purposes.
 
The next update will be provided by 9:00 a.m. on April 15, 2026.

Preventive Boil Advisory

April 13, 2026, | 2:00 p.m. - The Nation Municipality has issued a Preventive Water Boil Advisory for residents connected to the Limoges municipal water system.
 
This advisory is being issued as a precautionary measure following a watermain break that caused a temporary drop in water pressure below 20 psi, the minimum required under provincial regulations. While no contamination has been confirmed, provincial guidelines require an advisory under these conditions.
 
Residents must boil tap water for at least 1 minute before drinking, preparing food or beverages, making ice, and, brushing teeth. Alternatively, use bottled water for these purposes.
 
Municipal staff are actively addressing the situation and are conducting system monitoring.
 
The advisory will remain in effect until it is confirmed that the water is safe and no backflow entered the system during the low-pressure event. Residents will be notified as soon as the advisory is lifted.
 
An update will be provided by 9:00 a.m. on April 14, 2026.

Watermain Break

April 13, 2026, | 10:00 a.m. - The Municipality is currently responding to a watermain break at the intersection of Bourque Street and Limoges Road in Limoges.
 
There are no concerns regarding the safety of the drinking water at this time. Residents in the area may experience temporary fluctuations in water pressure while repairs are underway. Affected properties have been notified.
 
Municipal crews are working diligently to restore normal service as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience and understanding and will provide updates as they become available.
