General Parking Prohibitions
To keep our roads safe and accessible, the following parking restrictions apply at all times.
No one is allowed to park or leave a vehicle:
- In an intersection or within 6 metres of one
- Within 3 metres of a fire hydrant
- On a sidewalk or crosswalk
- In a way that blocks traffic
- In front of or in a private driveway without the owner’s permission
- On a bridge
- In a designated fire route
- In a no-parking zone marked with signs
- In an accessible parking space without a valid permit
- For selling, displaying, or advertising a vehicle without approval
- For delivering goods anywhere other than at the curb or roadside
Parking is not permitted at our fire stations, except for volunteer firefighters and authorized municipal staff.

Enforcement & Penalties
By-law officers may issue fines or have vehicles towed or immobilized at the owner’s expense if parked illegally.
Anyone who does not comply with this by-law commits an offence and may be subject to a fine as set out in Schedule B.
