Garbage Collection

Garbage collection services in The Nation Municipality are provided under contract by Mike’s Waste Disposal Inc.

Guidelines

Garbage may be placed at the curb after 7:00 p.m. on the evening before your collection day, and no later than 7:00 a.m. on your scheduled collection day.
Place garbage bags and boxes directly on the ground, as close as possible to the roadway.
Do not place items on the sidewalk, on the roadway, or on top of snowbanks.

A maximum of two (2) garbage bags per property per week is permitted, in accordance with the Waste Management By-Law.
Additional bags require an approved bag sticker.
Stickers are available for $2 per bag.
Stickers may be purchased at Town Hall in Casselman, the satellite office in Fournier, The Nation Sports Complex in Limoges, our municipal landfill sites, and our library branches.
Stickers may only be applied on garbage bags (not containers).
Each bag or container must not exceed 23 kg (50 lbs).
Smaller bags must be placed inside a garbage can with a maximum capacity of 125 litres (28 gallons) or securely tied as a single bag.
