Summary

Reporting to the Manager of Community Programs and Services, the incumbent is responsible for customer service at the Sports Complex.


Main Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and respond to their questions and inquiries in person and by telephone;
  • Enter payments into the reservation system, sell walking track passes, and balance a petty cash float;
  • Provide information regarding program and event registrations, maintain inventory of equipment related to programs, as well as the sports equipment library;
  • Conduct safety inspections of the facility to identify and eliminate hazards and ensure the safety of customers and users;
  • Monitor facility users and ensure compliance with safety rules;
  • Support the department with any other duties as required;
  • Perform housekeeping duties within the sports complex, including sweeping and mopping floors, etc.;
  • Perform other related duties as assigned. 

Qualifications and Requirements

Education

  • High school diploma or current student (minimum 18 years of age)

Experience

  • 6 months to 1 year of customer service experience (an asset)

Certification /Accreditation

  • N/A

Specific Knowledge

  • Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken; 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and Outlook);

  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately;

  • 10 hours/week and more
  • Includes evenings and weekends

  • Pay Rate: $22.89/hour
