The Water and Wastewater Department flushes fire hydrants in St-Isidore and Limoges twice a year. This work helps clean the water mains and check that the hydrants are working properly.
The next flushing period is October 19 to 30, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Flushing may temporarily lower water pressure and cause discoloured tap water as sediment is stirred up. If your water is discoloured, run the tap for 5 to 10 minutes before using the water.
The department will monitor water quality throughout the process to make sure the water remains safe to drink.
Please note: As regular operational work is also scheduled during this period, we cannot confirm when each street will be flushed.
For any questions or concerns, please contact the Water & Wastewater Department.
