Exit 51 - Highway 417 Construction

Please note that Highway 417 is under provincial jurisdiction. The United Counties of Prescott-Russell and The Nation Municipality do not manage or maintain the highway. For more information, please contact the Ministry of Transportation.

Beginning September 28, rehabilitation work will take place on the Highway 417 bridge over the West Branch Scotch River, near the St-Isidore eastbound off-ramp. The following traffic impacts are expected to last until December 4, 2026:

  • One driving lane will be closed, with a temporary concrete barrier in place. 
  • The eastbound off-ramp at Exit 51 will be closed. 

During the off-ramp closure, motorists travelling eastbound on Highway 417 and wishing to access Highland Road (Exit 51) will be directed to continue to Exit 35 (County Road 23A/McCrimmon Road) and follow the posted detour route.
