Notice of 1st Sitting of Court of Revision

Re: Remi Gauthier Municipal Drain
To whom it may concern,
Take notice that your property is assessed for the improvement of the above-mentioned drainage works under Section 78 of the Drainage Act. Attached is a provisional by-law exclusive of the Engineer’s report. Details of your assessment are contained in the Engineer’s report dated July 30, 2025 which is available online at the following address: https://nationmun.ca/drain-municipal-remi-gauthier.
The Court of Revision for the Remi Gauthier Municipal Drain will take place on October 6, 2025 at 4:30 p.m.. Details regarding this meeting are found on the attached “Notice of Court of Revision”.
As an owner of land within the watershed you can appeal your assessment on this project to the Court of Revision. If you wish to appeal to the Court of Revision, you must submit an appeal form no later than end of day September 26th, 2025

Once an appeal form is submitted it is strongly suggested that you plan on attending the Court of revision in-person.
If you do not have any assessment concerns, you do not need to attend this meeting.

Agenda - Court of RevisionPlease be advised that a special Council meeting will be held at 3:45 p.m. on September 8, 2025, at The Nation Municipality’s Town Hall, located at 958, Route 500 West in Casselman, to consider the Engineer’s Report for the Remi Gauthier Municipal Drain. During this special meeting, a summary of the Engineer’s Report will be presented, and members of the public may ask questions or submit comments. Council will consider the provisional adoption of said report.
If you do not attend this meeting, Council will proceed without you, however, you may submit your comments or questions in writing to the Clerk’s Office before 4:00 pm September 2, 2025.

Please note that while you may watch the meeting online, questions or comments submitted via chat will not be accepted as formal input on the presented report. Questions or comments must be submitted in person during the meeting or in advance, in the manner specified above.

Consideration of Report – In accordance with Sections 41 and 42 of the Drainage Act, the Council of The Nation Municipality will consider the report at the meeting.
