Recreation MEDIA RELEASE Seniors Hall Fully Accessible St. Isidore – The seniors’ committee officially opened their newly renovated hall in St. Isidore today, thanks to a $33,000 grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF). Jean-Marc Lalonde, MPP for Glengarry-Prescott-Russell, joined OTF representative Paulette Hébert at the official opening of the seniors’ hall... See the photo album. The grant was awarded to the Nation Municipality, and funds were used for major renovations to the hall's entrance and ramp, as well as two fully accessible washrooms. Fundraising by the Club Renaissance and financial support from the Nation Municipality in the amount of $30,000 helped launch the project. “The Club Renaissance committee is very proud of the support from The Ontario Trillium Foundation” said President Roger Paquette. “Thanks to the grant we were able to renovate the hall and can now welcome new members to our hall who are physically challenged.” A leading grantmaker in Canada, the Ontario Trillium Foundation strengthens the capacity of the voluntary sector through investments in community-based initiatives. An agency of the Government of Ontario, OTF builds healthy and vibrant communities. www.trilliumfoundation.org For more information, please contact: The Nation Municipality is proud of its many parks and facilities.
